Snowball Effect - Hub for Northern Germany
Since October 2023 our organization serves as Hub Lead for Snowball Effect in Northern Germany.
Snowball Effect was constituted in France in 2017. Its mission is to organise Solutions Exhibitions and Replication Challenges around the World. The exhibition presents 45+ initiatives and companies who are running successful solutions for current global challenges as climate change, pollution of rivers and oceans, poverty, migration and loss of biodiversity. Those solutions invite to be replicated in order to multiply their impact in different local contexts.
The exhibition is presented in an interactive workshop format that enables detailed engagement with the solutions, stimulates discussion among participants and inspires to replicate some of the shown initiatives.
A three day Replication Challenges offers the opportunity to develop concrete concepts and strategies to implement some of the initiatives or constitute a company of those presented in the Solutions Exhibition. A pitch allows to receive feedback from experts that serve as jury.
Snowball Effect at the House of Opportunities
From April to June 2024 we presented the Solutions Exhibition in the House of Opportunities in Soltau, Northern Germany
We presented the first Solutions Exhibition in Northern Germany in the House ofOpportunities, a pilot project we ran in cooperation with the town administration of Soltau in Lower Saxony in the context of the public program “Resilient InnerCities”.
Snowball Effect at the Hamburg Sustainability Conference
On October 7th and 8th, 2024 we presented a selection of Snowball Effect Solutions at the Hamburg Sustainability Conference.
The Hamburg Sustainabilty Conference is a mayor high-level event, that brings together international policymakers and business leaders in order to address the urgent need of accelerating SDG performance through courageous decisions and large-scale solutions.
We could present a selection of solutions in the networking area of the event and had the opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations with participants who where interested to know more about Snowball Effect.
