Snowball Effect - Hub in Northern Germany
We are Snowball Effect Hub Lead for Lower Saxony and Hamburg since October 2023
Snowball Effect was founded in France in 2017 and organizes Solutions Exhibitions worldwide. The exhibition shows 45+ initiatives and companies that have found successful solutions to current social challenges such as climate change, marine pollution, poverty, migration and loss of biodiversity. The solutions shown explicitly invite imitation and replication to multiply their impact in different local contexts.
Don't reinvent the wheel
Snowball Effect offers examples and models for innovative solutions to solve current global challenges on a local level. These initiatives and companies want to expressly inspire people to replicate their models.
The exhibition is being presented in an interactive workshop format, enabling detailed engagement with the solutions, stimulating discussions among participants and initial thoughts on their possible replication.
A three day Replication Challenge offers a platform to develop concrete concepts and strategies for implementation and the opportunity to pitch the adapted concept to a jury of experts.
Snowball Effect in the House of Opportunities
From April to June 2024, we presented the Snowball Effect Solutions Exhibition at the "Haus der Möglichkeiten" - House of Opportunities in Soltau, Lower Saxony.
We presented the first Solutions Exhibition in northern Germany from April to June 2024 in this pilot project, which was carried out in cooperation with the city of Soltau as part of the Resilient City Center funding program. Around 1400 visitors came to the House of Opportunities during this time.
Further exhibitions are being planned.
Snowball Effect at the Hamburg Sustainability Conference
On October 7th and 8th, 2024 we presented a small selection of our solutions at the HSC 2024
The Hamburg Sustainability Conference, #HSC2024, was a mayor high-level event that brought together international policy makers and business leaders to address the urgent need of accelerating SDG performance through courageous decisions and large-scale solutions.
We were invited to present a small selection of solutions from our Solutions Exhibition in the networking area of the event and had the opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations with participants who were interested to know more about the Snowball Effect Solutions Exhibition.
